The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the German international development cooperation agency, is stepping up its support for the Nile Basin Initiative (NBI) with new funding. This is an amount of 6 million euros dedicated to transboundary water management in this part of Africa. On the continent, ten countries share the Nile basin, 6.695 million km long, namely Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC),…
